Biographical note
Paulo is a polymath educator and entrepreneur whose work addresses organizational and societal challenges by integrating four areas: professional and leadership development, innovation, change management and technology.
Paulo has a B.A. in Economics and Ph.D. in Psychology, both from Yale University.
He has worked in higher education, business and journalism. He has coordinated and taught executive education programs on leadership, innovation and change management. He was Assistant Professor at Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics, in Portugal, and Senior Lecturer at the University of Surrey Psychology Department, in the UK.
As an educator, he developed innovative teaching and facilitation methods to help leaders address organizational challenges by mobilizing the collective intelligence and experience of the group.
His research on emotional intelligence and transferable skills was published in top international journals. Paulo also has expertise in organizational behavior, leadership, social psychology, human intelligence and personality assessment, learning and professional development, quantitative research and multivariate data analysis. In addition, he tracks progress and trends in the field of artificial intelligence and has experience of programming and prompt engineering.
Paulo managed a family-owned tourism and real estate group and co-directed an award-winning documentary film. He speaks four languages fluently and has lived in five countries. His portfolio career has provided him with rich first-hand experience and deep insight into the challenges of career transitions, personal development and lifelong learning.
